Short Bio
Nam Douglass is an economic development consultant with extensive experience in comprehensive economic development and community capacity building. Her current role is working with the North Carolina Partnership for Children spearheading efforts to link child care and economic development in North Carolina at the state and local levels. Efforts includes working with Smart Start staff and the National Economic Development Law Center to develop and provide Economic Development 101 training for local smart start partnership to assist in framing the message and prioritizing ideas for action at the local level. Nam received a BA in History with minors in Economics and Appalachian Studies and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech.
