Short Bio

Angie Garling works on child care policy and planning issues in Alameda County, California. She has a Master's degree from UC Berkeley in Educational Psychology and Human Development and over a decade of experience advocating on behalf of quality child care, and low-income and special needs children and families. For the past six years she has been a member of Local Investment in Child Care (LINCC), and is currently the Director of Projects for the LINCC Consulting Group. She has presented on child care and economic development and linking child care and transportation at the national, state and local level, including NAEYC, the National Women’s Law Center, Children’s Defense Fund and the National Legal Aid and Defenders Association. She has been selected to participate in two national leadership programs in early childhood policy and strategic communications.
